Final Story?

After going to Celebration, I came up with a few realizations.  Even though we had a great time, I made a decision that it will be our last con with robots or droids.  It's just too much work, expense and vacation days that could be spent in other areas.  We need to spend more time in the mountains and less time at conventions.

Another thing I decided is there will be no more new robot projects.  I plan to sell all my extra parts and robotics components and may even sell some of or possibly all my life size robots collection in the next couple years.  Still not sure about that decision though.

Instead of robots, I'll be turning my attention into more art related projects.  I've been learning a lot of metal working techniques and enjoying that immensely.  Plus it will be a good thing to carry over into retirement where I could even make a few dollars with it now and then.  But we'll see.

So I guess this is the official end of the Life size robots blog.  Thanks for following.

Your R2 is making great progress Dan and I'm glad that my projects were an inspiration. I always like to change things up once in awhile to keep passions from turning into obsessions. Jim

OMG! That made me want to cry but I don't blame you. Celebration was a lot of work.

I'm glad that you and your wife came. It was so nice to see you and you do great work so please let us know if you start a new blog on your new projects. You did an awesome job on that Giraffe.

And even though your getting out of the droids, you guys are always welcome to stop buy and say hi.

Part of me is sorry to hear you leaving the 'bot world, but part of me is very glad to hear you're following your heart and that inner voice. It'll always lead you to the most magical parts of life, the places you need to be. I've left many hobbies and worlds behind over the years, some I've returned to, some I haven't. Gotta follow the path and go where life leads you, it's the great adventure. Wishing you happiness, peace and love where ever the trail leads you.

Hey Annonymous !

I relate 100% to your very spiritual response. I always remember to listen to that "inner voice" because it's taken me on some very cool journeys in life. That's what makes life so interesting and as you said ... "magical". I wish more people thought like you. Thanks for the comment. Your words ring so true with me. Jim

Just when I start to follow your build blog it comes to an end.

But life is short and if its time to move on then you just gotta move on. Good luck to you.
